What IS neuroscienceCME?
neuroscienceCME.com was designed to integrate the key clinical areas that comprise the neurosciences, and to do so by creating a central resource for clinicians, researchers, and educators with an interest in mental health. neuroscienceCME.com exists to recognize and promote the expanding world of the neurosciences.

neuroscienceCME.com is the mental health professional's forum for accessing, debating, synthesizing, and implementing the latest findings and best practices in the delivery of mental healthcare.

Powered by multidisciplinary accredited educational provider CME Outfitters, neuroscienceCME.com is also chartered to facilitate the identification of knowledge and performance gaps that exist within the neurosciences, and to fill them with evidence-based certified education. In this way, continual professional development can lead to improved public health outcomes in this critical field.

Who is the accredited provider for neuroscienceCME educational activities?
CME Outfitters is the accredited provider for all neuroscienceCME educational activities, and offers multidisciplinary credit for physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, psychologists, social workers, and case managers. All content certified for credit by CME Outfitters undergoes stringent development and validation protocols to ensure scientific rigor, fair balance, accuracy, and objectivity.

What is the content development/validation process used to create neuroscienceCME educational activities?
CME Outfitters has a dedicated internal Medical Resources Group that is staffed by credentialed content professionals. This team conceives and creates original content in collaboration with expert faculty, and then challenges that content with a rigorous peer review process followed by meticulous quality assurance procedures to ensure the precision, timeliness, accuracy, and clinical relevance of each activity. This QA procedure includes checking and double-checking N, n, and p values, verifying reference citations to ensure compliance with AMA style guides, confirming that data is accurately reported from the literature, and conflict of interest resolution mechanisms to ensure that the result is fair-balanced, evidence-based, scientifically rigorous, objective, and clinically relevant continuing education.

Are CME/CE activities available on recorded media?
Most neuroscienceCME/CME Outfitters activities are available in a variety of formats, including CD-ROM, print, audiotapes, and videotapes. There is no fee for any self-study materials. To order self-study materials online, please visit www.neurosciencecme.com/CME_em.asp.

I am a clinician who would like to participate in an upcoming neuroscienceCME activity; however, I don't see my discipline listed in the types of CE credits being offered. Am I allowed to participate and how can I receive CE credit?
Depending on the topics being presented, many clinicians outside of the target audience may benefit from neuroscienceCME educational activities and are encouraged to participate. To receive CE credit, clinicians should first check with their licensing and/or certification boards to see which of the six types of CE credit already being offered would be acceptable for fulfilling their mandatory CE requirements. If at least one is acceptable, simply check the appropriate box next to "Type of CE credit requested" on the CE Credit Request Form. If you successfully complete the post-test online, you may print your CE certificate at any time; if you complete and submit the post-test from a printed course guide, a certificate or statement of credit will be mailed to you within 4-6 weeks from our date of receipt and verification of successful completion.

I'm having problems viewing or completing the online test for an activity, or printing a CE certificate.
Your problems with neuroscienceCME's online testing and certification were probably caused by an outdated version of Flash Player on your computer. For optimal performance, we recommend that all users download and install the latest version of Flash Player. This is the #1 troubleshooting tip that we provide our users, and is also the one that resolves 99% of all problems. This free software is available on the software page at neuroscienceCME.com and may also be downloaded at www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer.

If you complete the post-test with a passing score and experience difficulty completing the evaluation or printing a certificate, you can simply return to www.neuroscienceCME.com/test at a later time to print your certificate.
