Statement of Need

Residual excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS) associated with OSA and narcolepsy is a common, debilitating condition that compromises patients' overall health, wellness, and safety. The field of sleep medicine is rapidly evolving to address the unmet needs of EDS as n novel treatment options become available

In this CME Outfitters dynamic, interactive infographic, expert faculty discuss the impact of EDS on daily functioning, highlight the efficacy of current and novel treatment strategies, and provide expert commentary assessing the data for novel treatments.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this CE activity, participants should be able to:

  • Recognize the impact of EDS on daily functioning and productivity.
  • Evaluate the efficacy of current and novel treatment strategies that minimize the incidence of EDS in patients with OSA and/or narcolepsy.
  • Assess how data for novel treatments for EDS will impact clinical practice and patient outcomes.
