The burden of disease in patients with psoriasis (PsO) is well established, with a recent survey showing that 66% of patients with PsO (n = 632), agree that their skin condition keeps them from engaging in certain social activities. It is imperative that clinicians recognize that disease severity may not always drive disease burden, and that they appreciate the burden of PsO on patient quality of life (QoL) and how it can negatively impact participation in social and professional activities.
This CME Outfitters Snack will evaluate the factors that are associated with patient perspectives on disease burden, address that burden, and the unmet treatment needs in the management of PsO, in order to show why new treatments are needed.
At the end of this CE activity, participants should be able to:
- Address the burden of disease and unmet treatment needs in the management of psoriasis (PsO).
