2nd Annual Chairs in Psychiatry Summit This Week!

July 16, 2009, marks the start of the 2nd Annual Chairs in Psychiatry Summit, an intensive 3½-day master class in which chairpeople from the United States' most renowned academic institutions will highlight advancements in the field of psychiatry. Says Dr. William E. Bunney, Jr., Distinguished Professor and Della Martin Chair of Psychiatry at University of California - Irvine, "The Chairs in Psychiatry Summit represents an outstanding educational opportunity with a high-quality, internationally recognized research faculty."

Faculty of the Chairs in Psychiatry Summit will present cutting-edge, often yet-to-be-published, translational and clinical research with the potential to substantially advance evidence-based patient care in both adolescent and adult psychiatry. Topics will range from basic neuroscience to novel management strategies and will include clinical case challenges. In each presentation, faculty will emphasize the translation of emerging data into clinical care.

All presentations fall under one or more of the following tracks:

  • Behavior Disorders
  • Communities of Practice
  • Dementia
  • Eating Disorders
  • Ethics
  • Mood and Anxiety Disorders
  • Personality Disorders
  • Psychotherapy
  • Psychotic Disorders
  • Sleep-Wake Disorders
  • Substance Abuse
  • Traumatic Brain Injury

Presentations will be given during parallel symposia throughout the meeting, with ample opportunity for questions and answers and interactive discussions. In addition, breakout sessions will be held to foster small-group discussions related to clinical challenges in a more informal setting. This format will provide a rare opportunity for psychiatrists from a range of clinical settings and backgrounds to discuss important clinical issues at the cutting edge of the field. These forums will help psychiatrists to create communities of practice as participants learn of advancements in the field that they can integrate into their practices and share with their colleagues.

There are still a few seats available for this event, so register now at www.neuroscienceCME.com/CC342 to secure your spot to this exclusive educational and networking opportunity. You are also welcome to call 877.CME.PROS (877.263.7767) to speak to one of the CME Outfitters Program Registrars.

We look forward to meeting you in Charleston, SC.
