3rd Annual Chair Summit--A Resounding Success!

Save the date for our 4th annual meeting in Baltimore, MD, June 23-26, 2011. Details to follow!

Participants from 30 states, Canada, and the Virgin Islands (many of whom had been to 1 or more previous Chair Summits) connected in Chicago for the 3rd Annual Chair Summit, and all feedback indicates that the meeting was a resounding success! Engagement was the theme of the 3 1/2 day conference. Small-group sessions such as Ask the Chair and Chart Reviews gave participants an opportunity to discuss clinical challenges in an intimate setting with the Chairs and with their peers. Even the plenary sessions called for active participation via technology and Q&A.

Chairs and participants celebrated the contributions of Alan F. Schatzberg, MD, during a reception honoring him as the 2010 Outstanding Chair. Dr. Schatzberg was recognized at the 3rd Annual Chair Summit for his many achievements, contributions, and leadership as the Kenneth T. Norris, Jr. Professor and Chairman in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine and as the immediate past-President of the American Psychiatric Association. In honor of Dr. Schatzberg's achievements, CME Outfitters will be making a $1,000 donation to the Stanford Mood Disorders Center to assist in advancing a shared mission to overcome mood disorders through innovation and compassion.

CME Outfitters staff engaged those who were not able to attend by using Twitter to capture and distribute key educational messages and insights throughout the meeting. If you missed our Tweets, be sure to follow us at http://twitter.com/cmeoutfitters. Much of the content from the 3rd Annual Chair Summit will be posted soon at neuroscienceCME.com. In the coming days and weeks, look for the addition of candid photos, slide presentations, Chart Review Best Practices, and video CME Snacks. In the meantime, please pencil us in for June 23-26, 2011!
