EVENT INVITATION

Global Experts in Orbital Surgery Headline Advanced Orbital Surgery Symposium, A Tribute to the Orbital Surgery of Paul Tessier

Conference dates set for May 3-5 in Baltimore, MD; speaker list includes renowned experts from across the United States, Europe and Canada

Rockville, MD – March 3, 2012 -- CME Outfitters, LLC, an award-winning accredited provider of multidisciplinary continuing education (CE), today announces an open invitation for practicing surgeons, residents, nurses, and health care media to register for the Advanced Orbital Surgery Symposium, A Tribute to the Orbital Surgery of Paul Tessier.  The conference takes place at the Hilton Baltimore May 3-5, and is designed for specialists and residents in oral and maxillofacial surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, otolaryngology/head and neck surgery, and oculo-plastic surgery.

“This multi-day conference celebrates the ongoing impact of Dr. Tessier’s contributions” says Jan Perez, managing partner of CME Outfitters, LLC. “His work has affected many surgical specialties, and is so far-reaching that virtually everyone performing procedures of the craniofacial specialty was either trained by Dr. Tessier himself, or by surgeons he trained.”

Perez adds that “the national, international, and multispecialty faculty focus on sharing the latest evidence, insights, and expertise related to the management of craniofacial fractures, congenital, post-traumatic and post-oncologic deformities, and management of surgical complications—all with a focus on the orbit.”

The conference agenda includes over 50 sessions and interactive panel discussions on topics such as:

  • Practical and Clinical Orbital Anatomy
  • Volumetric Restoration in Cranio-Orbito-Facial Defects
  • Management of Congenital Hypertelorism
  • The Use of CAD/CAM Technology in Pediatric Craniofacial Surgery
  • Correction of the Orbit in High Energy Injury
  • Principles of Eyelid and Lacrimal Reconstruction
  • Non-Vascularized Bone Grafts: Is There Any Role?
  • How Much Pre-Fabrication is Necessary for Reconstruction?
  • Complications of Periorbital Fillers and Fat Grafts

Faculty for the conference include globally-recognized clinician-researchers on the forefront of surgical advances, who provide a diverse mix of clinical outcomes experience and surgical techniques to apply to the decision-making process and management of primary and secondary reconstruction, in both common and challenging cases.
