Rockville, MD (PRWEB) August 26, 2011

CME Outfitters, LLC, an award-winning accredited provider of multidisciplinary continuing education (CE), announces an on-demand CME/CE activity titled Maintaining Quality of Life in Multiple Sclerosis: Strategies for Interdisciplinary Medical and Rehabilitative Management and Improving the Provider-Patient Relationship. The activity, co-sponsored by USF Health, offers continuing education credit for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, psychologists, social workers, and certified case managers.

“Patients and caregivers alike face difficult, life-altering news when discussing a debilitating disease like multiple sclerosis,” says Jan Perez, managing partner of CME Outfitters, LLC. “It’s critical for clinicians to not only coordinate effectively across a multidisciplinary team, but also be adept at articulate and empathetic counseling techniques.”

Perez adds that the new educational activity focuses on educating health care providers on strategies for improved physician-patient communication; multimodal rehabilitation therapies to improve quality of life; and tools for the routine assessment of quality of life in patients with multiple sclerosis.

Faculty for the activity includes renowned clinician-researchers who are international leaders in research, treatment, rehabilitative therapies, and management strategies for multiple sclerosis.
