Learning Objectives
At the end of this CE activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify strategies for differential diagnosis of bipolar depression.
- Compare and contrast atypical antipsychotics with respect to efficacy, tolerability and other clinical factors important to the maintenance treatment of bipolar depression.
- Apply knowledge of mechanisms of action to the selection of treatments for bipolar depression, particularly with respect to the use of atypical antipsychotics.
- Formulate and implement treatment plans integrating latest evidence-based pharmacologic and psychosocial intervention strategies with available treatment guidelines.
